Regular testing and maintenance of emergency lighting is essential and is now a legal requirement in many countries. It is possible to carry out testing manually but this can be expensive and time consuming and accurate record keeping difficult to arrange.

PALS™ is a programmable addressable light system that will automatically test and monitor the emergency lighting system and produce accurate reports of test results and system events.

It ensures building owners and occupiers are informed promptly of any problems affecting their emergency lighting system.

OEL-308 monitors and tests for:
  • Unswitched mains supply is present at all times
  • Battery is connected and charging
  • Light output from the LED/lamp in emergency operation (PALS™ monitors the actual lamp light output as current monitoring can be unreliable)
  • Data loop integrity at all times
